How to Find a PTF Downloaded by ESA

When a WRKPRB entry is reported to IBM using the Electronic Service Agent application, a comparison is made in the APAR database to the symptom string found in the WRKPRB entry. This comparison process can result in ordering and downloading PTFs for the system.
To see what PTFs have been downloaded, issue the WRKPRB command and select option 5 beside the problem log entry to be reviewed. Press F9 to see the PTF list.

PTFs downloaded in this scenario are downloaded as save files to library QGPL. To view the PTFs, issue the WRKOBJ command.

Command examples are as follows:

WRKOBJ OBJ(QGPL/QSI*) OBJTYPE(*FILE)
WRKOBJ OBJ(QGPL/QSF*) OBJTYPE(*FILE)
WRKOBJ OBJ(QGPL/QMF*) OBJTYPE(*FILE)

There are PTF download size limits for Electronic Customer Service (ECS); this is dependent upon how your ECS is configured.
