It's very easy to setup the monitor for Jobs in the system. This monitor once configured and started can provide details pertaining to Job Name,Number, Start and end time and severl other required metrics like Disk I/O used, number of threads etc. Following are the steps for implementing the same.

1. Open iSeries Navigator
2. Click on Management Central to expand (Make sure Management Central Job is on your system otherwise connection to Management Central server will end.)

3. Right click on Job and select New Monitor, New Monitor dialog box will appear. Provide a name to Monitor and under tab Jobs to monitor, add the kind of jobs to be monitored one by one and proceed to next tab of Metrics.

4.  Select the metrics and proceed to Collection interval tab and specify the time interval for collection of different jobs metrics.

5. On the actions tab, select the available actions and proceed for Systems and Groups, and add the systems to be monitored. Once done, click ok and you will see a monitor created for you having a stopped status. Right click over monitor and select Start, once started, you can have the details based on the collection interval selected for all kinds of jobs.
