Determining Which System Values Have Been Changed, When They Were Changed, and By Whom

A message CPF1805, CPF1806, CPF1815, CPF180F or CPF1823 is written to the history file (QHST) each time a system value is changed. Additionally, a message CPF1807, CPF1808, or CPF1824 is written to the history file to indicate that a system value may or may not have been changed. To capture this information, do the following:

1  On the operating system command line, type the following:
DSPLOG & Press F4 to prompt.
2 Select the starting and ending dates to search (based on the amount of history information kept on the system).
3 Press F10 for additional parameters and page down. On the parameter called MSGID, type CPF1805, CPF1806, CPF1807, CPF1808, CPF1815, CPF1823, CPF180F and CPF1824.
4 All occurrences of these messages are displayed.
5 Bring the cursor to the message showing the desired system value that was changed, and press the F1 key for additional message information. Then, press the F9 key for message details. The qualified job name of the job that changed the system value is shown.

  1. This is a good way to check it, an other way is to check in the audit system journal for code SV.
